Data converters (ADCs and DACs) need low phase noise clocks. As Data converters reach higher speed in wireless and 100G, 200G and 400G coherent optical receivers, high speed clocks with ultra low phase noise are required. The VS-501 provides ultra low phase noise in the 800MHz to 2.5GHz range, with noise floors as low as -164dBc/Hz.
