March 2, 1999 - New Low Jitter Frequency Translation Device for Telecommunication Applications
Vectron International has introduced a series of low jitter Frequency Translation
Devices used in Telecommunication applications.
The model FX060 frequency translator is a low noise, narrow band PLL that generates
155.52 MHz and 19.44 MHz output clocks locked to an input 8kHz or 1.544 MHz reference
clock. The 19.44 MHz clock is generated by a low noise VCXO. The 155.52 MHz signal is a
multiplied representation of the 19.44 MHz output.
The units are AC/HCMOS compatible and are available in a 24 pin thru-hole or J-Lead package.
Supply voltage is 5.0 Vdc ±5%. Typical output jitter is < 10ps rms at 19.44 MHz
and < 19 ps rms at 155.52 MHz. The devices are ideal for clock frequency translation
and clock distribution in SONET/SDH, ATM and other telecommunication applications.
The Vectron International group designs, manufactures and markets frequency generation and
control products using the very latest techniques in both standard crystal and surface acoustic
wave (SAW) based designs from DC to microwave frequencies. Products include crystals and crystal
oscillators; SAW filters and components; and clock and data recovery products used in
telecommunication and data communication applications.
