March 27, 1998 - New Low Cost, Tunable, Miniature Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO)
Norwalk, CT... Vectron International (VI) has introduced a series of
low cost, tunable,
oven controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs) available in frequencies from 4 MHz to 30 MHz.
The model OCXO-4000 provides exceptionally low aging rates, excellent temperature stabilities,
and measures nominally 1" x 1" x 0.5" (25.8 mm x 25.8 mm x 12.7 mm).
The oscillators provide aging rates of

-7/year with temperature stabilities from
<1 x 10
-7 over 0°C to 70°C and operate from a +5V or +3.3V supply.
Phase noise at 10 kHz is -135dBc/Hz.
The product finds applications in telecommunications, data communications, frequency
synthesizers, timing, navigation, telemetry and instrumentation systems.
The Vectron International group designs, manufactures and markets frequency generation and
control products using the very latest techniques in both standard crystal and surface acoustic
wave (SAW) based designs from DC to microwave frequencies. Products include crystals and crystal
oscillators; SAW filters and components; and clock and data recovery products used in
telecommunication and data communication applications.
