C2260 Series New 5.0 x 7.0 mm "true" Stratum 3 TCXO generation.
We are pleased to announce that Vectron International is ready for mass-market
sampling of the C2260 series of TCXOs for use in Telecom, Wireless and Data
Communications applications.
Utilizing a new generation of TCXO ICs, the C2260 Series can stabilise the
frequency from 6.4 MHz up to 32 MHz over a wide temperature range of -30°C
to +85°C to better than 0.28 ppm. The parts are fully compliant to the
GR1244-Core and GR- 253-Core standard. As well as the superb temperature
stability and performance there are two enclosure technology advantages over
ceramic 5x7 parts.
- Expansion coefficient:
The C2260 is based on well proven FR4 enclosure technology and has the
same coefficient of expansion as the customer's PC board. Solder joints
fatigue failure will not occur anymore.
- Flexibility:
By using FR4 materials the design work is more flexible with the design of
the oscillator circuit and the realisation of all established pin-outs.
With the "wide pull version" of the C2260 family it is possible to
realize a pull range of +/- 40 ppm and more. As a result of the flexible
construction and the new IC technology, it is now possible to design-in 5x7
TCXOs with a better Phase-noise performance which in earlier days was only
possible with large, expensive, discrete solutions.
Because of highly automated modern manufacturing practice, the C2260 Series
combines excellent technical performance with a favourable price.
Samples of 12.8 MHz and 20 MHz for the two most important SONET/SDH IC solutions
from Semtech and Zarlink are available from stock.
