July 29, 1999 - New Ultra Miniature VCXO For xDSL Applications
Vectron International (VI) has introduced a series of ultra miniature, surface mount,
voltage controlled crystal oscillators (VCXOs) designed for use in xDSL applications.
The V-Type, voltage controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO), is a quartz stabilized square wave generator with selectable TTL or CMOS output. The device is hermetically sealed in a 7.5 x 5.0 x 1.80 mm ceramic leadless chip carrier (LCC) with 6 contact pads. Frequencies are available to 65.536 MHz with a 3.3 or 5.0 supply voltage. Phase jitter performance is better than 20 ps rms. Pricing is dependent on specifications but is generally less than $10 in large quantities. Delivery is stock to 6 weeks. The V-type's ultra small size, standard package and high performance make it ideally suited for communication applications including xDSL Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), Cable Modems, HFC Subscriber Equipment and ATM/SONET/SDH applications. Vectron International designs, manufactures and markets frequency generation and control products using the very latest techniques in both standard crystal and surface acoustic wave (SAW) based designs from DC to microwave frequencies. Products include crystals and crystal oscillators; SAW filters and components; and clock and data recovery products used in telecommunication and data communication applications. |
